Cirrus Research is offering its best deal yet with a new trade in/trade up option against its best-selling Trojan2 noise nuisance recorder.
The Trojan2 was only recently re-launched with a host of new innovations and updates.
Cirrus Research is now offering an unrivalled trade-in discount against new sales of the Trojan2 against any old or obsolete equipment offered by the customer.
“We are taking in old equipment and offering a trade-in discount, the value will depend on the product being offered back to us,” explained Marketing Manager James Tingay. “There is no time limit to this offer and we will take any equipment not just Cirrus brands to allow our customers to upgrade and get the best from their noise measurement equipment.”
The Trojan2 has been designed to meet the specific needs of Environmental Health Officers, Housing Associations or anyone who needs to measure, monitor and record noise nuisance. It offers high quality, high resolution audio recording as standard using a 16bit/16kHz uncompressed WAV file. This gives plenty of frequency range (up to 8kHz) and a wide dynamic range (up to 96dB) so audio recordings can handle both high and low levels with no loss of quality.
Another key feature is the Wireless remote control and 4GB memory. This is usually more than enough for most applications but it can be expanded with a 32GB option.
With the AuditStore function in the Trojan2, you can also guarantee the chain of data from the instrument to the software, a useful feature if you need to present measurements and recordings as evidence.
Other noise monitoring must-haves included on the Trojan2 are Pre & Post Trigger options for audio recording that can be set as needed. The pre-trigger can be up to 30 seconds and post-trigger up to 60 seconds.
“As a manufacturer, Cirrus is registered under the WEEE Directive and so we are required to responsibly recycle or dispose of electronic equipment in an environmentally friendly manner. Any of the equipment that we take back will be recycled where possible and disposed of in accordance with our WEEE registration.” added James.
All the software provided as part of the Trojan2 package is licence-free with NoiseTools⢠supplied as standard, free of charge and without any installation or licensing restrictions. This means customers can install it on to many desktops, laptops or servers as necessary at no extra cost. Updates are also free.
The Trojan2 is designed to be mains powered with secure cables, but it will switch to its own internal batteries if the mains power is lost. Another important feature is that when power is restored, the noise nuisance recorder will start up again and continue to operate. The Trojan2 will automatically restart when the mains power is restored even if its internal batteries are flat.
Other modifications to make life easier for the end user include:
- Quicker and simpler removal of the cables for transport and storage
- Less cables to connect to the sound level meter
- More space in the case for storing accessories
- A simple way to add a wired hand switch if needed
The Trojan2 is designed, manufactured & supported in the UK and backed by a 15-year warranty.
