The instruments have been tested and certified by the LNE, the French National Standards Laboratory, and the new approval extends the previous certification whilst adding the CR:161D and CR:171C variants of the Optimus Red and Green ranges respectively.
The Class 1 Optimus Green and Optimus Red sound level meters had previously been Type Approved by the LNE to the previous version of the IEC 61672 standard (IEC 61672-1:2002) and the corresponding NF EN 61672-1:2003 version in June 2013.
